Instructor: Classes will be guided by JC Porras, Nikki Griffin and special guests.
We are overjoyed to invite those in the Sonoma area to join De Colores Arts facilitators for our expanded classes at the Sonoma Community Center! Participants will be guided through creative activities in movement and yoga, improv and art, and other expressive and culturally aware activities. Expressive art serve as a powerful tool to promote mental well-being and resilience.
Cultivating an environment of trust and support is essential for growth and healing, and is an important part of DCA’s program The social environment is strengthened by the consistency of our student’s interactions, and by providing multiple modalities of expression. Through shared creative experiences, students are able to build a sense of agency and validation, and are able to find effective outlets that fosters personal growth, joy, and friendships.
